Barros & Errázuriz advised Empresas Gasco S.A., the latter through its subsidiary company specially incorporated for this purpose, Gasco Solar Térmico Uno SpA, in the process of negotiation and subscription of a credit line agreement with Banco Itaú Chile and Itaú Chile New York Branch (the ‘Financing Agreement’), in order to finance the development of a project that contemplates (i) the design, construction, commissioning, commissioning, operation and maintenance of a solar thermal system, composed of a set of collectors, pipes and piping, and the installation of a solar thermal system, (i) the design, construction, commissioning, start-up, operation and maintenance of a solar thermal system, consisting of a set of collectors, pipelines and an energy storage system that will supply heat to Minera Escondida’s sites, located in the Antofagasta region (the ‘Project’).

The advisory services included an extensive negotiation of the Financing Agreement, including its annexes and guarantees, involving technical, banking and legal advice.

Disbursement under the Financing Agreement took place on 22 March 2024.
