Barros & Errázuriz was highlighted with 36 nominations in the first edition of The Legal 500 Chile Awards. The awards recognize the country’s leading legal players, whose work has ensured the continued dynamism of the Chilean legal market.

Among the nominated categories are Firm of the Year. In addition, 21 lawyers were highlighted individually in various categories and 9 practice areas were recognized. In addition, five consultancies were highlighted:

Mining: Advising JX Nippon Mining & Metals on the sale of 51% of SCM Lumina Copper Chile to Canadian company Lundin Mining Corporation.
Corporate M&A: Advised Del Río family in the agreement for the combination of Derco with Inchcape.
Corporate M&A: Advised Fluxys in the acquisition of an 80% interest in GNL Quintero.
Financing: Advised Delta Airlines in the exit from Chapter 11 of LATAM Airlines.
Financing: Advised Scotiabank, BNB Paribas and Sumitomo Mitsui in the issuance of a green loan for Global Infraestructure Partners.
